Success & Style Tips for the Entrepreneurial Woman with Curves

Plan and Promote Your Plus Size Events

In a previous post, I shared FREE Online Resources to Market Your Plus Size Events. While these resources are great to get the word out about your event, there’s one resource that I embarrassingly forgot to mention.

Eventbrite is one of the best event planning resources I use and many other solo-entrepreneurs and corporations like CNN and Best Buy use as well. It’s not just your typical event planning tool; it actually helps you to market your plus size events and shows. It has a marketplace that allows you to see events that are happening in a city near you and you can also share your events with the public as well! I searched “plus size” just to see what would pop up and there was a plus size shopping event at Macy’s in Austin, TX. Do you see the potential here?

So here’s the beauty of using Eventbrite:eventbrite

  • It’s FREE, you can plan free or paid events using Eventbrite. For your fee-based events, you only pay a very nominal fee based on the number of tickets sold, so no upfront fees. If you’re event is free, then you don’t have to pay to use their service.
  • You can create a unique website for your event and even customize it so that it matches your brand. Equipped with a nifty widget, you can also sell tickets or registrations directly from your main website as well. Pretty cool, don’t you think?
  • The meat of this tool lies in its promotional capabilities, you can get your events listed on search engines like Google and promote them on social media. It also allows you to send customized email messages as well which is great for email marketing campaigns.
  • The intelligence behind Eventbrite is also impressive because you can track your registrations, track where your traffic is coming from, generate waitlists and much more…
  • You don’t have to stress about handling payments either as you can collect money through PayPal, Google Checkout, and with major credit cards

It’s very user-friendly even if you’re not an event planning company. So if you’re planning an event or need a checklist of how to promote your next plus size event then take advantage of this free tool that is designed to “help businesses & organizations of all sizes manage, promote and sell-out their events.”

    Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!

  2. What a great idea for a website – I am plus size, but not in the fashion industry – I think though that the event brite platform looks universal – tfs!

    Stopping by from SITS
