Creating Content Relevant to Your Plus Size Market

Whether you’re a plus size blogger that would like to boost your readership or you own a plus size business online, you want to be a reliable and valuable resource to your market. One of the best ways is to do so with content. Content can be in the form of audio, video, physical products, etc. However, text is king when it comes to content. After all, it’s what we use to search and communicate with online.

Give them what they want: I know it might seem quite obvious to do this, but stay with me here. Based on your keyword research, ask yourself if they need help solving a particular problem or if there is something they would like to learn more about. For example, if your prospect is searching for how to dress her body type, then you should have a blog post, report, a guide, a FAQ page or some form of content that addresses that particular question. Help them make a purchase: Sometimes plus size consumers are searching the internet to purchase a product/service. What that means for you is that you have to provide context around your offerings. For example, if someone is searching for “plus size maxi dress” then it would benefit you to provide product reviews about that particular type of apparel, make recommendations, and beef up your product description so that your prospect can easily make the decision to buy. Trust me, it is much better than browsing a boring static storefront. Enhance your customers’ buying experience by creating supporting content around the products/services they’re looking for.

The bottom line is, don’t leave your prospects hanging. Step back for a second and put yourself in your prospects shoes; think about how many times you have read customer ratings and reviews, browsed comparisons before making a purchase. Positioning yourself to address the natural buying process and providng relevant information is how you can deliver value to your plus size market and in turn increase sales.
